Let's dive in... Here are 10 must-have photographs every bride should consider capturing in her wedding dress:

1. THE FULL LENGTH SHOTS...

A full-length photo of you in your wedding dress from the front and back, showcasing the dress’s unique features and silhouette is a must for your wedding album.

This is your classic bridal photo moment, and so you should choose a location where you fee comfortable and able to let your confidence shine through. Just before you are going to walk down the aisle can be a great place to choose for when you have that nervous excitedness building up.

Having that full length shot of your wedding dress from the front and the back gives you those iconic bridal images.

2. A close-up photo of the details...

A close-up photo of the details on your dress, such as lace or beading, or a detail shot of the decolletage is a beautiful image to capture. The detail shots are what create an overall roundness to your wedding gallery and help you to seal in those memories of the little things that made your big day so precious.

3. A photo of you getting ready...

A photo of you getting ready, with your dress hanging in the background, or just your dress waiting to be worn. We love to see these types of photos from our brides when they have chosen a wedding dress from our Norwich bridal boutique. Getting ready is such an important part of your wedding day, and capturing those moments before you get to step into your gown can be magical – and very much cherished by your loved ones such as your parents.

4. A photo of your shoes and accessories

A photo of your shoes and accessories, such as your veil or jewellery, that complement your dress. We just love the detail shots, and having a set of images that depict the intricacies of how much you have thought about your overall wedding look are priceless.

5. A photo of your bouquet against your dress

If your bouquet is your ultimate bridal accessory then you will want to make sure you get the “money shot” with your bouquet. Be careful with the placement of your bouquet however – you don’t want to hide the important elements of your dress, or hold the bouquet so low that it’s a trip hazard! 6. A photo of you with your bridesmaids...

A photo of you with your bridesmaids, showing off their dresses and how they complement yours. The squad photo is an essential for 2023/2024 brides. Whether you have a chosen couple of bridesmaids or a full on girl gang, getting those images which showcase your friendship, love and support for each other is massively important. Get creative with these images too – they don’t need to be too formal. You want to feel free to express your personality and demonstrate the fun and love you have with your bridal team.

7. A photo of you with your family members.

Families come in all shapes and sizes in 2023 and so we are not prescribing what family looks like – but don’t forget to capture those moments that you will want to refer back to time and time again. A wedding is one of the few times that you get all your family together so it can be a great opportunity to create memories that everyone can share. However – don’t feel a pressure! Work with your photographer to establish which group images you want to have included and what sort of composition would work best.

There is something so magical about this as an image – seeing how you both react to seeing each other when there has been so much planning (and probably stress!) to get to this moment. It can all go by in a blur so having a photo to treasure forever is precious according to our rule book!
