1. A-Line Wedding Dresses

A-line wedding dresses are a timeless and versatile choice for mature brides. They feature a fitted bodice that gradually flares out from the waist, creating an elegant and flattering silhouette. A-line dresses are known for their ability to highlight the waist while providing comfort and ease of movement. They come in various fabrics and necklines, which allows you as a mature bride to select a style that suits your personal taste. Don’t be scared to bare that decolletage either – just like these gorgeous off shoulder A-line gowns from Eva Lendel demonstrate…

2. Tea-Length Dresses

Tea-length wedding dresses can be a charming choice for mature brides who want something that combines formality with some fun. These dresses typically fall between the knee and the ankle, offering a vintage and sophisticated look. Tea-length gowns are perfect for outdoor or less formal weddings and can be paired with lovely heels or comfortable flats. Tea-length dresses are not something we actively stock in the boutique, but there are some amazing designers out there.

3. Sheath Dresses

Sheath wedding dresses are sleek, simple, and perfect for mature brides who appreciate minimalist elegance. These dresses closely follow the body’s natural shape without excessive embellishments, making them an ideal choice for a sophisticated and understated look. Embrace your curves and let the sheath dress show them off to perfection – just like this design from Jessica Couture that we have ready for you to try on in the boutique…

4. Empire Waist Dresses

Empire waist wedding dresses feature a high waistline that sits just below the bust, flowing into a graceful, floor-length skirt. This style creates a romantic and ethereal appearance, and it’s particularly flattering for mature brides who want to accentuate their upper body and draw attention away from the midsection.

5. Sleeved Dresses

For mature brides who desire a bit more coverage, sleeved wedding dresses are a beautiful choice. Long-sleeved gowns or dresses with lace overlays provide both style and modesty. Lace adds a touch of romance and sophistication to any wedding dress, making it a timeless option. Sleeves do not have to be bpring though – we love to bring a bit of drama with a sleeve, like this one from the latest Miss Chloe Collection:

6. Coloured Dresses

While traditional white or ivory dresses remain popular, some brides may choose to embrace their unique style by opting for coloured wedding dresses. Soft pastel shades like blush, champagne, or light blue can be stunning choices, adding a touch of individuality and elegance to your overall aesthetic.

I was interested to see what age group you used for advertising gowns for “mature” brides.. I was disappointed with your choice.. Maybe next time use a “mature” model who is actually age appropriate and not a stick insect. You made me feel inadequate at 54 years old. Mmmm
